2010 the year of the LORD's FaVor!
Yesterday was the 7th of February 2010 ~ the eyes of the western world were fixed upon Miami's Sun Life Stadium for the 44th Superbowl. Well its Monday morning and the fat lady is hoarse from singing the songs of celebration for the Saints triumphant victory {31-17} over the Colts. What a game!
Every time a David conquerors a Goliath ~ I just love it!!! And in this year of the LORD's faVor we can expect Him to manifest in our personal and collective lives that which defies the odds and brings such honor and glory to His name.
From the beginning of the season I have been telling everyone that this is the year of the Saints. For me, the New Orleans football team would be the personification of God's declaration over His kingdom citizens. Please be advised that the Father has issued an edict from the Heavens to His earthly Family of Faith ~ it is our time! ...for REAL though!!!
We have declared that in 2010 we shall ascend! We have indeed gone up to the high mountain of the LORD where there is jubilant praise and joy beyond our greatest expectations.
Drew Brees, the 2010 Superbowl MVP, said it best, "It is better than I imagined. God is great! This was destiny!"
So let's turn our faces toward the direction of the LORD's great faithfulness and immeasurable faVor.
Expect Him to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that you have ever thought of, dreamed about or imagined..but ready yourself because it is sure to be better and greater than that!!!

Your Intrinsic Royalty Defines You
Sister ~ Wisdom is a your DNA
by Val D. McLeod
Whether we call it a woman’s intuition, mother wit or simply common sense, women definitely
have an internal wellspring of wisdom. We have an amazing capacity for insight and
awareness. This wisdom is not that which we receive through academic matriculation, but it is intelligence that emits from the heart and spirit of a woman. It is a reflection of the very
omniscience of God.
Just as biological DNA determines our physiological and, to some degree, our psychological make-up, wisdom is a component of the very fiber of a woman. We just seem to have an innate ability to comprehend, understand and communicate in multifaceted ways.
For the godly woman, this wisdom is exponentially enhanced and empowered through the Holy Spirit. The spiritual DNA of a woman is as integral to her life composition as her genetic code is to her other unique attributes. A spirit-filled woman has Discernment, Nobility, & Abundance.
Discernment – this internal antenna operates like a keen sense of smell or hearing. Even before knowing all the facts or factors, your ability to discern and rightly judge, right from wrong or good from evil is a key component of wisdom. Being able to make sound decisions requires that you continually exercise and increase your discernment as you mature.
Nobility – Honor and virtue are your portion. Your distinctive way of being delicate and strong at the same time is evidence of your noble character. Your ability to clearly articulate your needs and desires that are in full agreement and alignment with the Will of God shows such integrity. With prudence and prestige the wonders of your sophistication declares that you are royalty. Reign accordingly!
Abundance – Scripture refers to a godly woman as a “gift”. You are the gift that that never stops giving. Your obvious and hidden treasures continually reveal a deep source of richness and wealth. The way that you think, in the special things that you say and do you manifest your extraordinary faith and fullness.
You add value everywhere you go and to every life you encounter because of the abundant favor of the LORD that flows in and through you.
Sister ~ your Wisdom DNA defines and directs you. Pay attention. Listen closely and follow its counsel. Always use and adhere to the Word of GOD as your foundation and gauge. Trust the voice that speaks in your spirit.
While your extraordinary beauty emits from within always know that your intrinsic wisdom is your most appealing characteristic!

Leading in Love
Scripture exhorts to let all that we do be done in love. I have much to say about the certain direction of this country with a President who clearly has a solid grasp on this concept. I am still trying to contain my thoughts enough to be somewhat coherent in this posting so I will leave it for now.
We have not been this way before..........

Vowing Change
WoW! It is the night before the Inaugural of President Obama. Every thing within me feels so alive. I am fully alert. Completely conscious. I seem to be so aware of where I am. What I am doing. I am thinking about who I am and what is defines who I am. I am marking this moment as I never have before. Tomorrow life changes. The world as I ~ we know it will forever change.
I imagine that I will feel this way on the night before my wedding as I contemplate making a lifetime vow to love my Beloved. It will indeed be one the most transformational moments of my life. It feels that way tonight.
No more -Elect. Mr. Obama will be our President. The leader of the free world. No longer an aspiration but an actualization. I will not attempt to project how I will feel as our 44th Commander-in-Chief takes his oath of office because I want to live in the moment that it actually happens.
What I can say is how my heart is so completely filled with beauty and joy. I have Dr. King's birthday celebrating in the spirit of how he lived his life, caring about the well-being of others. This "Day On" has a new level of significance because it is truly "On" now.
Tonight is a moment of demarcation. Tomorrow will be a moment of destiny.
Much will change.
Much has changed.
There is so much more change to come.
Mr. President as you vow to faithfully serve, know that I ~ we stand with you. I also promise to fulfill that which is given to me to assist you in advancing the change that is so desired.
Let's vow to change ~ together!

Joy Comes in the Morning ~ ~ ~
Just 8 more days until the Inaugural of our 44th president. On Election Night ~ V-Day! ~ I was mindful it would be 77 days until the President-elect would officially be in office.
It seems so very long ago.
The discussion, dialogue and debates have continued about the significance of Barack Hussein Obama being our next Commander-and-Chief. The campaign for change has taken on manifold dimensions since the election. A kaleidoscope of perspectives exists. What we see depends on the vantage point of our view. Throughout the protracted campaign, I learned to stay focused on the goal and do all that I could to contribute to the real possibilities of victory.
And victors we remain. Empowered to create the world that desire and deserve. Things are challenging on many fronts. The state of our economy and the status of world events pleads for a brighter day.
Hope is on the horizon.
The breaking of day approaches.
Not only because Obama will be officially be the president but because we can without delay, personally and collectively, take responsibility for the change that we declared.
So while I have quite mindful of the great day approaching, my count-down has not been unfruitful waiting. I have continually been conscious of my obligation to be and do my best today.
Yes joy is coming but the truth is that it is already here. The ushering into another level of purpose and destiny is progressive by design. I have learned to live in the moment and learn the lessons this day's life is teaching.
So let's embrace, be enlightened and enJOY today as we look forward to the promised beauty that tomorrow and most certainly January 20th will bring.

Mr.44!
Last night on the 4th day of November 2008 the past, present and future seem to converge. Time stood still. Something eternally significant has occurred ~ Americans have elected the 44th president of the United States of America and that man is a brilliant, bold and beautiful black man! Let's pause and put a big PRAISE right here!!!!!!!
The atmosphere is electric. I am not certain of all of the prophetic implications of this historic victory but I am certain that we have entered a place and time that was ordained for such a time as this.
2008 has been declared as the year of New Beginnings. To be sure, there is an undeniable newness in the atmosphere. There is nothing to be compared to first time experience. Mr. Obama the precedent will forever begin with you.
When the President-Elect, Lady Michelle and the First-Princesses walked out to the awaiting world for the first time, I dropped to my knees with a heart filled with thankfulness to the Father for HIS great faithfulness.
I slept for a few hours. I cannot stop smiling, laughing out loud, crying, dancing and singing. The early morning air was cool and fresh as I found myself standing at the door of the grocery store before they opened so I could be one of the first to purchase every newspaper they sold. For posterity, I have a treasure trove capturing every significant moment.
It's been about 24-hours since I began my all day service as a poll watcher yesterday. From the moment I arrived at 6:30 am and saw the voting line circling the parking lot, I sensed that it was a day to pay attention to everything that happened around me.
Signs were all around...the name of the polling facility is Progressive. How significant. We are indeed advancing today. We will never be in the place we were on yesterday. Hope is now a reality.
We can be.
We can do.
We are!
For me, the most important revelation is that we are stronger together than we are a part.
Throughout the day I took notes for my personal journal. My numerous campaign and Election Day experiences shall remain forever in my heart. I saw parents, some in military uniform, bringing their children with them to vote. Some parents even guided their child to actually touch the electronic screen to cast a history-making vote.
I saw an African-American soldier who was visibly moved to tears as he voted. I was not able to speak to him, but when he turned around our eyes met. The moment was resonate. Each of us in our own way we were all contributing to an integral part of history.
Above all, I recall much of what I saw while canvassing in the economically disadvantaged areas of Savannah. I will never forget the faces of children who in spite of their conditions had such life and hope in their eyes. They were full of energy and potential. My feet were tired but I pressed forward because I knew that if we could continue to work hard to get Barack Obama & Joe Biden elected, their hopes for a brighter future would not be disappointed. We did it! Hope is realized. Hold on...help is on the way.
Now, I am more committed than ever to do all that I can to bring to fruition our 44th President's social and educational goals.
The rest is history in the making..............
